I just graduated from Phil & Teds University!

Yes, you heard that right! Amy and I just got back from a two day trip to Atlanta to attend Phil & Teds University. Select retailers were invited by Regal Lager to attend “PTU”. We were a small group of fifteen: other retailers, reps and Regal Lager staff. It was an amazing experience.
After getting a tour of their beautiful offices, we got to tour the warehouse and see how all of the orders get processed (Amy and I were hoping to see our backordered Black Sport Buggies to no avail….) We then headed right to the Phil & Teds University classroom itself which was loaded with every single product. We spent a day and a half going over the ins and outs of pretty much every stroller, accessory and anything else that leaves the Regal Lager warehouse. We got demonstrations by professors Jeff Durkie (Director of Sales) and Dave Milligan (Sales Development Manager) while being thoroughly entertainted by their quick wit. We couldn’t have asked for better professors!
In between presentations, we had “hot time” where we broke up into four small groups to get our hands on the strollers and products. We folded Vibes with doubles kits on. We set up Travellers. We packed and unpacked travel bags. We finally got our hands on the long awaited Dash. We saw and played with everything Regal Lager has to offer and it was amazing and educational (and fun!)
I should also mention that the folks at Regal Lager know how to have a good time! After a long day of school, everyone got to wind down with a rockin’ night of pizza and bowling (where yours truly bowled her first 125, thank you very much!)
And this morning, we concluded by finishing up our lessons, taking our second test (I kid you not!) and then graduating! I now hold a degree from Phil & Teds University and have been awarded the honorary title of “Phil & Teds Head”! So, all of you parents out there- if you have any questions about your Phil & Teds, shoot it my way! I know the history, the ins and outs and the quick fixes. Phil & Teds strollers questions? Easy: One buggy, two kids, four positions, six years. Which inline is right for you? How about Phil & Teds beyond the buggies? Easy: Push, Sleep, Feed, Carry, Drive, Adapt. Phil & Teds has grown so much beyond just the buggies (Push) and we are excited to be adding some new Phil & Teds products to StrollerMama. Coming soon look for Me Too highchairs (Feed), Traveller travel cots (Sleep), Mini Dittie diaper bags (Carry), infant car seats (Drive) and new stroller accessories (Adapt).
Probably the biggest news is that we have decided to carry the entire line of Phil & Teds inline buggies at StrollerMama. We can help you decide which inline is right for you. Whether it is the Classic (thrifty inline) for its simplicity and value, the Sport (sporty inline) for its ruggedness and proven function, the Dash (urban active inline) for its form and function or the Vibe (uptown inline) for its ultimate style and function, we can help find the right inline for you. We thought we knew our stuff before, just try us now!
Phil & Teds University was an amazing experience and we are so thankful to the Regal Lager crew for letting us participate! Our seven kids are happy to have their moms back home but we had a wonderful time in Atlanta!

hi there,
when will the dash be available to the public? does it fit other infant car seats besides the phil and ted’s brand seat?
thanks for your help.
Hi Sherry- We hope that the Dash will be shipping late July. It should be up on our website for preordering this week (or feel free to give us a call at 866-293-5642 and we can take your order over the phone). Since it uses the same frame as the Sport Buggy, it can take an adapter bar for the Graco, Peg or Maxi Cosi infant seats. Hope that helps- Erika

I have the vibe and my biggest problem is getting it to lock when it’s folded with the toddler seat. How do I do that? Will you be posting any videos? Also, my frame is in such bad shape, scratch-wise, after only 3 months! Is there any way to fix that at all? Finally, can I really not throw the seat pads into my washing machine? The come out perfectly clean when I wash them by hand, but it’s tough work!! Thanks!
Hi Tziri- Mastering the Vibe fold with the doubles kit attached can be difficult but once you know how to do it, you won’t struggle anymore.
Here is the secret and the process to the proper Vibe with doubles kit attached fold:
1) Make sure the front wheel is in the swivel position,
2) Make sure the harness is undone,
3) Make sure the handle is in the most upright position,
4) Make sure the doubles kit is pivitable,
5) Pivit the doubles kit all the way forward (main seat needs to be pushed up all the way from underneath),
6) Lift the paddles on the sides,
7) Push down (towards back) on the red latch on the left to release,
8) Pull down on the handle,
9) Push the underside basket up into the seat so it makes an upside down “V”,
10) Lift up the seat of the doubles kit so it is lined up with the back of the main seat,
11) Pull the front wheel back to the handle and make sure you turn the wheel with the “J” bar facing out (counter-clockwise), the handle adjusts just behind the Vibe logo,
12) Close/lock the paddles
Regarding the scratches on your frame, the distributor suggested using a Magic Eraser on the aluminum. I haven’t tried it myself but they thought it would clean it up. If the directions say not to machine wash the liners, I wouldn’t do it. I would stick to the safe (but more tedious) side of hand washing personally. Hope that helps- Erika

I was just in my local phil and ted’s dealer and they say they have NO idea when the dash will ship and have stopped trusting the distributor … any insight?
Hi Jenn- We are very close with great people at Regal Lager, the Phil & Teds distributor, and I can tell you that our Dashes have shipped out to us and we will have them in stock early next week. I just put it up on our website and we are running a short introductory promotion called Double Your Buggy For Free. If you purchase a single Dash Buggy, you get the doubles kit ($99.95 value) for free. There won’t be many at this price….Hope that helps- Erika

Hi,
Did they go over how to fit the Vibe with double set into the travel bag? I can just squeeze the stroller and double seat, but there is no way I can “POP” the back wheels into the bag, I have to keep them attached outside the travel bag. Not so good when checking it as luggage. I think there is a good chance of loosing them in flight. They need to send out a diagram… I noticed that some photos of the vibe travel bag show a Pocket on the outside…maybe for wheels. Mine doesn’t have this.

Hi,
I love my Phil and Ted’s which we have used almost daily for a year. It is now completely dirty and gross and we are trying to figure out the best way to clean it that is also baby-safe. Any guidance would be appreciated. Lauren
Hi Lauren- I would suggest contacting the distributor, Regal Lager, to see what they would suggest. You can reach them at (800) 593-5522. Hope that helps- Erika
